To provide you with the full MeraParivar experience, we collect the following types of information:

• Personal Identity: Full name, date of birth, gender, father's name, mother's name, caste, and occupation — used to build and display your family profile accurately.
• Contact Information: Mobile number (used exclusively for OTP verification), email address, residential address, and pincode.
• Account Credentials: Username and encrypted password, family relationship selections, and profile settings.
• Profile Photo: Uploaded via camera or device storage. Stored securely and visible only within your verified family network.
• Family Chat Data: Messages exchanged between verified family members. Never accessed, shared, or disclosed to any third party outside your family.
• Device Information: Camera and storage access (only when uploading photos), device type, and OS version for compatibility.
• Usage Data: Anonymous in-app interaction data used only to improve app performance and user experience.

• User Authentication: Verify your identity via mobile OTP and manage secure login and session handling for your profile.
• Family Tree Management: Build, display, update, and maintain your complete family hierarchy across multiple generations.
• Family Chat: Enable private, real-time messaging between verified family members within the app only.
• Notifications: Send alerts for new messages, birthday reminders, family connection requests, and OTPs only — no promotional messages ever.
• Customer Support: Respond to account queries, complaints, and service requests raised through in-app support or email.
• App Improvement: Analyse anonymous usage patterns to fix bugs, improve features, and enhance overall performance.
• Legal Compliance: Meet obligations under Indian law including data protection and cybersecurity regulations.

• OTP Delivery Providers: Your mobile number is shared with SMS and WhatsApp service providers solely for delivering one-time verification codes.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Secure cloud servers are used to host app data and user profiles under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal Authorities: Data may be disclosed to government agencies or courts only when required by applicable law or a valid court order.

• No Independent Child Accounts: Children cannot create their own accounts. All child profiles must be created and managed exclusively by a verified adult guardian.
• Guardian Full Control: Parents and guardians have complete authority — view, update, and permanently delete their child's data at any time.
• No Advertising to Children: We do not display any targeted or third-party advertisements to children. No advertising SDKs that collect data from minors are used in our app.
• Family-Only Communication: Children can only communicate with verified family members in their family tree — no contact with unknown individuals is possible.
• Zero Tolerance for CSAM: Any CSAM content is strictly prohibited. It will be immediately removed, the account permanently banned, and the incident reported to law enforcement and relevant national authorities.
• In-App Reporting: Users can report any child safety concerns directly through in-app support. All reports are reviewed promptly by our team.

• Access: Request all personal information we hold about you. We will provide a full copy within 30 days.
• Correction: Request updates or corrections to any inaccurate information stored in your profile.
• Deletion: Request complete and permanent deletion of your profile and all associated personal data.
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your personal data in a structured, readable, and portable format.
• Guardian Rights: Parents and guardians may view, edit, or permanently delete all data associated with their child's profile at any time.

To exercise any right, email support@cloudshope.com or use the in-app support feature. All requests are processed within 30 days.

• OTP-Based Authentication: Every login is secured via a One-Time Password sent to your registered mobile number.
• Encrypted Storage: All personal information and chat messages are stored on secure encrypted servers with restricted access.
• Password Security: Passwords are stored in hashed/encrypted form. Plain-text passwords are never stored.
• Private Family Network: Your data is accessible only to verified members of your own family network — no public visibility, no external access.
• No Data Selling: Your data is never sold, rented, or disclosed to advertisers or data brokers under any circumstance.
• Regular Review: We apply and regularly review technical and organizational security measures to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure.

• Your personal data is retained as long as your account is active or as required to provide our services.
• Upon a verified deletion request, we will permanently delete your profile and all associated data within 30 days.
• Family chat messages linked to a deleted profile are permanently removed within the same 30-day window.
• To request deletion: email support@cloudshope.com with subject "Data Deletion Request", or use in-app support after logging in.
• Minimal data may be retained if required by Indian law, regulatory obligations, or for fraud prevention.

• Camera: Requested only when you choose to take a new profile photo. Not accessed at any other time.
• Storage / Media Library: Requested only when you upload an existing photo from your gallery. No other files are accessed.
• Push Notifications: Used for family chat alerts, OTP codes, birthday reminders, and family requests. Can be disabled in device settings anytime.
• Internet Access: Required to connect to MeraParivar's servers for all core features including login, family tree, and chat.

• Information Technology Act, 2000 & IT (Amendment) Act, 2008 (India): Governing electronic records, cybercrime, and handling of sensitive personal data including the IT (SPDI) Rules, 2011.
• Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 (India): Mandating consent-based collection, specific protections for children's data, and users' rights to access, correct, and erase personal data.
• Google Play Store Developer Policies — Child Safety Standards: Requiring all apps to publish CSAM prevention standards, designate a Child Safety Point of Contact, and comply with child protection requirements.
• Apple App Store Review Guidelines: Covering data collection disclosures, user consent, privacy nutrition labels, and safe application behaviour for all age groups.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.

For significant changes that affect your rights or how we process your data, we will notify you via a push notification or in-app alert before the changes take effect. Your continued use of MeraParivar after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
